Check out our latest magazine printing spotlight. So many interesting and cool magazines being published and printed daily all over the world, mostly fashion and art and news, but to dedicate a magazine printing project to honoring the aging is truly something unique! That’s why we at Publishing Xpress had to show some love and recognition to our client, Living Legacies Inc.
Living Legacies is a nonprofit organization and a ministry of Savannah, GA dedicated to honoring the aging. Living Legacies is a front line ministry focused on the aging population. This ministry is based on the five key relationships of the aging: their relationship with God, their relationship with their spouse, their relationship with their children, their relationship with their church, and their relationship with their community and the world.
This 24-page spread magazine consists of images, stories, and ads all in relation to Living Legacies mission, in support and recognition of the elderly. Publishing Xpress likes the true magazine feel to this printed product.
Each magazine has a nice big photograph on the cover, similar to that of Time magazine. Living Legacies also chooses a self-cover, same paper stock for the cover as the inside text, which always makes for a nice flexible and lightweight magazine. 80# matte text is their paper of choice, and we at Publishing Xpress feel that is the perfect selection for this type of print. Because there is an extensive amount of text within the magazine, having a matte paper keeps the pages from glaring when reading.
This is not to say that the images/photographs in the magazine don’t appear glossy, because they definitely do still have a nice sheen to them. We print on digital printers that use toner, and that toner always has a slight sheen to it due to the heat in the printing process. So our clients do not have to worry about washed out or too matte images if that is not what they are looking for.
“Local publishing costs anywhere between $1200 to $8500 for 250-500 copies. After searching the web for publishing sties, I came across Publishing Xpress and immediately chose them for my publishing needs. My first magazine was met with a very good response from my subscribers.
The highest compliment was the quality of the magazine’s pages. Personally, I feel what’s more important than my opinion of Publishing Xpress is the opinion of my subscribers, as long as my customers are happy, then I’m happy!! I’ve already used Publishing Xpress for my second magazine. I’ve already recommended Publishing Xpress to a friend.
